Who We Are
McCall Film Society
The McCall Film Society was formed this year by Jacki Rubin and Bill Thomas to bring quality, thought provoking films to McCall. We have partnered with the McCall Public Library to sponsor the Film Movement Series.
All Film Movement films will be free to the community. Due to licensure requirements all screenings will be limited to 50 people per movie. All Film Movement films will be shown at the Alpine Playhouse with advanced tickets available at the McCall Public Library. The films are unrated and are not recommended for children under the age of 18.
The film series will be another step in making McCall the best little mountain town in Idaho.

Hello!
After reading your ad in the Star News, I felt compelled to email you regarding the film series you are offering. I work as Concierge for the Shore Lodge which you probably know has a wonderful theater. I know that you are offering the films free to the public and I’m not positive if we would charge a rental fee but I would love to see foreign films being shown in that theater! If you are interested for the future in using our facility, feel free to call me and I can find out the details of how it could be arranged. also, we can offer food and beverage service if desired. we are currently hosting a kid movies series and I just felt it might be nice to do an indie film series for adults in the off season (April- May). We also have a Tuesday night “Dinner and a Movie” which has been running for almost a year- we don’t get a lot of response despite the fact that it is a great deal, in my opinion.
Anyway, thanks for your time and I hope you have a succesful run with it- I know I’ll be there for a few!

Hi Kelly: It was nice talking with you about the film series. As I stated we spent six months trying to get Shore Lodge management to allow us to use the Theater but Jeff Stokholm said they did not want to do it. Never understood it but of course if management changed their minds, would be willing to talk. Take care
